Professional Boundaries When Moving a Conversation Off-Platform

Travel interactions may eventually require a phone call, meeting or another operational channel. Moving off-platform can also reduce GuideMeet’s ability to preserve context, investigate reports or support the parties.

Before moving

Explain why another channel is needed and obtain the traveler’s agreement. Keep essential scope, price basis and changes recorded through the approved GuideMeet workflow where possible.

Protect contact details

Do not post private phone numbers in public profile text. Use an approved contact feature if GuideMeet provides one. Do not add travelers to marketing lists or groups without consent.

Keep boundaries professional

Do not pressure a traveler to leave GuideMeet to avoid policy, fees, review eligibility or reporting. Never request passwords, one-time codes, full card data or unnecessary identity documents.

Understand the limitation

GuideMeet may be unable to verify or recover off-platform payments, deleted conversations or conduct outside its systems. Serious safety or policy concerns should still be reported with the platform evidence available.
