Using Photos to Show Your Guiding Work Responsibly

Profile photographs should show your real work while respecting the people, places and conditions in the image.

Include a clear portrait, examples of relevant guiding environments and images that help travelers understand activities or group settings. Quality matters more than filling every available slot.

Obtain permission

Get appropriate consent before publishing identifiable clients, children, community members or people in sensitive contexts. A person agreeing to be photographed does not automatically agree to marketing publication.

Preserve truth

Do not present stock photography, another guide’s expedition or a destination you have not worked in as your own experience. Editing should not materially change conditions or create false evidence.

Protect privacy and safety

Remove visible passports, tickets, phone numbers, medical details and precise sensitive locations. Avoid images that normalize unsafe conduct or violate local rules.

Use descriptive alt text for meaningful images. Exact file and upload instructions belong in Help.
