Referring a Traveler to Another Guide With Consent

A professional referral can help a traveler when you are unavailable or another guide is a better fit. It must not treat the traveler’s personal information as a transferable lead.

Make the fit clear

Explain why you believe another guide may be relevant, without promising that they will accept or deliver a particular outcome.

Ask the traveler first

Tell the traveler who would receive which information and why. Use GuideMeet’s approved consent workflow. Silence, a prior message or consent to contact you is not consent to share with someone else.

Share the minimum

Usually the destination, dates, group size and broad need are enough to begin. Do not transfer passports, payment data, health details or a full private message history.

Keep responsibility clear

The receiving guide makes their own availability and fit decision. The traveler decides whether to continue. A referral is not a booking, endorsement guarantee or transfer of responsibility.
